The disastrous coal ash spill in Tennessee along with a similar, albeit not disastrous, spill in Alabama have drawn a large amount of negative attention from the public. The unsurprising result has been increased scrutiny of storage methods for waste produced from coal.
Federal Investigators are now bringing West Virginia into the mix as they question its adherence to state and federal rules for dam safety.
